We can help you to comply with your obligations under Health and Safety legislation of keeping your employees and customers safe by testing employees or other staff for Alcohol and Drugs use.

We specialise in work place testing but can travel to ‘off-site’ locations as required.

Test methods that we use require the ‘donor’ to provide a satisfactory sample of breath to analyse the level of alcohol/breath in the sample. A sample of urine or oral fluid is collected and scanned for certain drugs that are present. If required, ‘positive’ samples can be sent to our panel of United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accredited laboratory for analysis to determine the type of drug present in the sample. A full report will then be provided.

We also offer a service to Solicitors to assist with Family Law and Immigration matters by taking samples of hair; blood or oral fluid to establish relationships through DNA analysis, or determine Drug & Alcohol usage.

Our Sampling Officers comply with a strict ‘Chain of Custody’ process and guidelines for legally defensible workplace drug testing as laid out by the European Workplace Drug Testing Society (EWDTS). The laboratories that we use are UKAS accredited.

You may have a Drugs & Alcohol at Work Policy that you implement by regular ‘random’ employee testing. APS Wessex can work with you and provide the type of testing that you require at a time and place of your choosing. The testing could be a ‘one off’ or a programme over a fixed or flexible term.
